New pricing for Virtual IP based SSL for applications hosted in Google App Engine

Google has announced yet another way to save money from your IT budget, this time in cloud-based application hosting.

According to the official Google App Engine blog, Google has reduced the price for Virtual IP based SSL for applications hosted on Google App Engine from $99 / month to $39 / month.

Virtual IP based SSL service allows applications that are hosted in Google App Engine to receive the security benefits of SSL-based encryption while retaining the reliability, scalability, and ease of development associated with Google App Engine.

Google App Engine can be used to host applications developed in Java, Python, Go, and JVM-based environments, including PHP.  Google App Engine provides Google Datastore and Google Query Language (GQL) while remaining compatible with Google Cloud SQL for RDBMS-based applications.

KDA Web Technologies provides development and consultative services for Google App Engine, as well as Google Apps Script and Google Apps for business, education, government, and nonprofit organizations.  If you would like to learn how to migrate data and application hosting to the cloud, please contact us.
